NOISE is a free app that allows you to create music on the go. With easy-to-learn gestures, you can effortlessly compose beats, melodies, and songs using a wide range of sounds available on your phone or tablet. For an enhanced musical experience, you can connect NOISE to ROLI BLOCKS devices.

NOISE takes a fresh approach to music-making by transforming a glass surface into a musical instrument. By drumming, gliding your fingers, pressing, and lifting off the screen, you can shape and create unique sounds. The app provides intuitive interfaces that make it easy to navigate and express your creativity.

Not only can you perform music with NOISE, but you can also produce it. The app offers a variety of custom-made sounds, ranging from string sections to hip hop basses. You can record basslines and melodies as loops of different lengths and mix and match them to build complex layered songs. Additionally, you can export your projects to desktop studio software for further refinement.

With over 500 sounds and counting, NOISE provides a diverse library that includes percussion, synths, flutes, guitar leads, orchestrals, and realistic acoustic strings and brass. Renowned artists like Pharrell, Grimes, RZA of Wu-Tang Clan, Steve Aoki, and Rudimental have also curated their own signature sound packs. While 35 sounds are available for free, there are numerous additional sounds that can be purchased within the app.

Pairing NOISE with the ROLI BLOCKS modular music-making system takes your musical experience to the next level. By wirelessly connecting to the Lightpad Block and Seaboard Block controllers, NOISE becomes the sound engine for these devices. You can apply the intuitive gestures learned in NOISE to the pressure-responsive silicone surfaces of BLOCKS for an even more expressive performance.
